If you follow me on Facebook, you may have seen mentioned the other day that I’d launched this updated site…but that the blog function was a little glitchy.  Without getting into geek-speak, let me just say the post I’d written first hadn’t shown up on the page (or anywhere publicly accessible) and then after I DID post a little something, and a few of you commented, the glitch got fixed and that little something, along with its attendant comments, went away.

One of those comments came from Larramie, hostess extraordinaire of The Divining Wand, a lovely site made solely to benefit readers and writers.  She wondered if the photos at the upper right of the site, here, had significance, and if so, did I want to elaborate?

The answer, dear Larramie, is yes, they do.  They are all images that represent things from one or the other of my novels.  The bird, for example, is the painted bunting from Reunion.  The lilies are admittedly nonspecific, but the white-and-yellow flowers are frangipani blooms, also from Reunion. The broad lake is from Souvenir.  And so on.

I’ll add new images to tie in with my next book, in due time, and once I’ve scanned some personal photos, I’ll include a few of those.  Baby pics, maybe.  What do you think?

Thank you, Therese. Just wanted everyone to know the backstory (then be tempted) of the slide show. After all both books are amazingly vivid in detail!

I’d love to see some more pics! Especially from Breakaway. I’m very curious about it!

  3. Therese says:

    Thank you both. :)
