Well said, Therese. Sounds like an evening well-spent. Grisham was in my town recenty and, while I'd have loved to have seen him, they were asking $75-100 a head. Kind of steep for us starving writer types! But it was for a charitable cause. Maybe next time.

Therese,

Thank you so much for this and your willingness to help me from the very beginning--not to mention your good advice along the way. You are such a giving lady.

Therese:

I find it so heartwarming that you are going to such lengths to help a fellow writer. And hell yes, I'm looking forward to reading it!!

Knowing you'd be posting too, Therese, I decided not to use your quote...it's all yours. And for Therese Walsh <i>The Last Will of Moira Leahy<i> is all hers and so beautifully done!

I find it amazing (in a bad way) that people are still banning books. It's so ridiculous!

You know, I always found, when I was teaching high school English, that when I'd mention to kids that a book we were reading had been banned in the past (Grapes of Wrath, Huck Finn, To Kill a Mockingbird to name a few) they were much more interested in reading it.

I just don't understand the book-banning mindset--but it sometimes makes kids want to read!
